Questions?
Q: Attire?
A: Cocktail attire requested. Please choose shoes comfortable enough for walking in grass, dancing, and joining us for the afterparty. We will also be facing the sunset during the ceremony, so don't forget your sunglasses.
Q: Accomodations?
A: We recommend you find lodging within the red line drawn on the map below. There are several hotels in the area, as well as AirBnB and VRBO options. We recommend having lodging walking distance to Villa Geno, Piazza Volta, and Piazza Cavour for attending all wedding events.
Please feel free to contact us regarding any lodging questions, distances, etc. We highlighted the location of where we are staying and the wedding venue, and added some estmiated walk times to better understand distances around the city.
At this time there are no hotel blocks as it is not a part of Italian culture, but if there are any changes to this we will keep you updated.
Q: Transportation?
A: Como is a walking city. It is ~15-20 min lakeside walk from Piazza Cavour (the center of the "hustle and bustle" of the city) to Villa Geno.
There will be a shuttle from the center to Villa Geno on wedding day if you do not wish to walk.
Taxis exist but may be limited. They must be booked in advanced, and can be reached by calling
+39 031 271000.
If you choose to stay in a lakeside town other than Como, there are ferries to reach Como but be mindful of the schedule as they do not run late into the evening.
Q: Renting a car?
A: Be aware that all parking within the city walls requires a residential permit or payment (some apartment rentals may offer parking). There are some designated areas for parking outside the city walls but spots are not guaranteed as they fill quickly.
